Why Clarity Matters to College Students.

When students know what truly matters to them, every choice becomes easier — from class selection to time use and friendships. Clarity reduces stress, strengthens motivation, and helps students make trade-offs that actually support long-term goals.

Three quick tips to help establish clarity:

1) One-minute values check: list 3 things you’d defend even under pressure (e.g., relationships, health, learning).

2) Compare those to your daily schedule for one week.

3) The following week, add 2 of those values to your weekly schedule(ex: Exercise 45 minutes 4 days, Attend one social club meeting)
