I feel like ‘making A PLEASANT place for your body and mind to inhabit’ can at times be difficult. Especially if we look at what is happening in the world 🌍around us and if you pay too much attention to social media telling us at us what we should be and do. It is easy to fall into a trap of negativity, bitterness, depression, etc, fill in the blank and now you have a very unpleasant habitat. It definitely takes intentionality to not fall into all of that by putting yourself first and filling your “cup” so that you can in turn show up as your best for someone else.

Just some food for thought and a friendly reminder to take the time to 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚, 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙩!

People ask me all the time, “what do you prefer doing, hair or makeup?” And to be truthful I do not prefer one over the other and I could never just do one or the other and here is why: The creativity that comes with doing hair and challenges with the different textures excites me and keeps me always hungry to keep learning.

Education paired with hands on is key in learning the different face shapes and techniques to execute a look that compliments each person’s face which is not as easy as it seems. Yet the way you can enhance, and transform, someone’s face with makeup is so fascinating to me.

So there you have it! I absolutely love my job! I love that I can use my creativity every opportunity I get.
