These wonderful fey creatures are such a delightful addition to the farm, and we hope they will help us manage the invasives and unmowable brush in the paddock as well.

Well, our trailer is snowed in so we missed the BRLA Tinsel Trot, but the ponies were very festive in our first snowfall just the same!! Here is Queen Cupcake showing off her beautiful blue eye.

Russet and Cupcake took their job of looking cute in antlers and being calm amidst chaos very seriously! We couldn’t be luckier to have them in our herd.

There is an otherworldly quality to the woods this autumn, just on the cusp of stick season. We felt like fey creatures wandering through these colors on our trail ride, not least of all Cookie who is part unicorn at least.

My heart has been too heavy to share this earlier, but we said goodbye to our gentle Laura last week. I keep trying to write a memorial for her, but I’m afraid Instagram just isn’t the right medium. The words I would need require more space. Suffice to say that we love her, miss her, and let her go on a sunny late autumn afternoon surrounded by love, treats, and pampering. Her little shadow Traveler is doing okay, but it’s certainly a hard time for him too.

Pure magic on the trails today! The woods were ablaze with incandescent pinks and oranges in the understory. I know these beautiful clouds are barberry and burning bush, invasive species, but it’s hard not to be enchanted 🦄🧚‍♀️🧌🧙🏻‍♀️
