This week’s College Spotlight is the Texas A&M! TAMU is located in College Station, Texas (about 3 hours away from Arlington). They are a large-sized public school with about 53,000 undergraduates. This campus has many students that live on campus and commute. Their mascot is the Aggies, they are a member of NCAA and are Division I athletics. Some of their sports include Football, basketball, Equestrian (women’s), soccer (women’s), golf (men and women’s), and women’s volleyball. The average SAT of students at TAMU is 1160-1390 and the average ACT score is 26-31. Their most popular majors are Business/Marketing, Engineering, Interdisciplinary Studies, Agriculture, and Biology. Some interesting majors they have are Forestry and Meteorology. This week’s College Spotlight is St. Mary’s University! St. Mary’s is located in San Antonio, Texas (about 4 and a half hours away from Arlington). They are a medium-sized private school with about 2,200 undergraduates and are a Hispanic Serving Institute (HSI). Most students live on-campus. Their mascot is the Rattlers, they are a member of NCAA and are Division II athletics. Some of their sports include baseball, basketball (men and women’s), golf (men and women’s), soccer (men and women’s), and softball. The average SAT of students at St. Mary’s is 1040-1220 and the average ACT score is 21-26. Their most popular majors are Business/Marketing, Social Sciences, Biology, Parks and Recreation, and Engineering. Some interesting majors they have are Bioinformatics and Engineering Management. This week’s College Spotlight is the TAMU – San Antonio! TAMU - SA is located in San Antonio, Texas (about 4 hours away from Arlington). They are a small-sized public school with about 6,500 undergraduates. This campus has many students that live on campus and commute. Their mascot is the Jaguars, they are a member of NAIA but have not announced yet the sports that will be on campus. They have over 30 different degree plans to choose from. Some interesting majors they have are Spanish and Fire and Emergency Services Administration. Their application is now open! They are a medium-sized public school with about 8,300 undergraduates. This campus has many students that live on campus. Their mascot is the Texans, they are a member of NCAA and are Division II athletics. Some of their sports include Baseball, Football, Basketball (men and women’s), Golf (women’s), Tennis (women’s), and Volleyball. The average SAT of students at Tarleton is a 960-1150 and average ACT score is a 18-23. Their most popular majors are Business/Marketing, Agriculture, Interdisciplinary Studies, Health Professions and Parks and Recreation.
