5 GMAT Study Tips:
1. Get familiar with the test structure and scoring
- I have provided the details on this post below:
https://www.facebook.com/alam.asifm/posts/125698919802879
2. Create a study plan
- Research your target business schools
- Set a score target for yourself
- Take a mock test to check your current level (Don't be disheartened with a low first mock score because you haven't studied or know much about the exam yet)
3. Set realistic goals for studying regularly
- Decide how many hours can you commit daily
- Create a routine and stick to it no matter what
- Pick a specific time to study everyday and set aside hours you'll commit
4. Study from Authentic resources only
- Study from the Official Guide and only well reputed resources. Don't follow any and every material you find online.
- Manhattan/ Veritas guides are great for Math
- Manhattan is great for Sentence Correction as well
- PowerScore bible is awesome for Critical Reasoning
- Don't just solve a question, look at all the answer choices and spend time on each answer choice while reviewing why each choice is either wrong or right and make your own notes
- Practice questions only from the Official Guide (OG) published by GMAC
5. Don't focus on timing initially but once you master the topics, start tracking time and focus on developing a consistent strategy to solve each type of questions!
Happy studying!
