What made these awards extra special? Each teacher award was nominated and voted on by their students! Seeing our staff recognized through the eyes of the students they impact every day made for such a memorable experience.

It was the perfect way to celebrate an exciting year at Shackelford! We are beyond thankful for every single staff member who helps make our school such a special place. From our teachers and paraprofessionals to our cafeteria staff, custodians, office team, and specials teachers — every person plays an important role in keeping our school running smoothly and ensuring student success remains at the heart of all we do.

Our staff truly is the BEST, and we are so grateful for the dedication, care, and positivity they brought to our students and campus this school year! We hope they have a restful and fun summer. See you in August!

The stats are in, and Shackelford Elementary is officially #1 in the nation for Marathon Kids for the SECOND year in a row!! Our campus ran 148,207 miles!🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🎉

Huge shoutout to Coach Acree and Coach Esparza for inspiring our students, families, and staff to sharpen the saw, stay active, and log those miles all year long. Their energy and encouragement helped create a culture of healthy habits and perseverance across our campus!

We are so proud of our Shack Braves for continuing to lead the way and prove that hard work and teamwork pay off. Way to go, Shack!

Tonight was such a special evening celebrating our incredible Shackelford staff!

We had the opportunity to recognize teachers earning the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) for outstanding student growth and achievement. Their dedication, commitment, and impact on students truly make a difference every single day.

We also had the privilege of honoring our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Maleki, and our Support Staff of the Year, Mrs. Requena! These two leaders represent the very best of Shackelford through their heart, service, and commitment to students and staff.

Proud is truly an understatement. We are so thankful for a team that continues to grow themselves and our students!

A special Shackelford tradition is honoring two 5th grade students as Mr. & Ms. Shackelford!

This award recognizes students who exemplify outstanding leadership, character, and integrity. These students consistently demonstrate exemplary behavior, take pride in their actions and learning, and serve as positive role models for their peers. They truly live out the 8 Habits of Leader in Me each day while helping create a supportive and encouraging school environment for others.

Congratulations to Ellie and Ryhln! We are so proud of the leaders you have become. Keep growing your voice, modeling kindness, and leading the way!
