My son, Yonah, made an app that I’m sure everyone will find useful!

When he moved to Israel, he quickly found out how useful citywide group chats were. For things like finding jobs, getting recommendations, furniture people were giving away etc. they actually made a huge difference.

He realized how frustrating it was to find these groups - he had to get lucky and find the invite link, run into someone who was a group admin etc.

So he decided to create an app that just lets you find and join local group chats based on what you’re into or need - no invite needed.

That’s Places. And it’s very simple, nothing fancy.

How It Works:
1.⁠ ⁠Choose your city (If your city isn’t listed, you can request one after signing up).
2.⁠ ⁠Pick your interest.
3.⁠ ⁠Boom! You’re in the group chat.

I think Places can be incredible tool/platform to help people connect and support each other locally. Definitely better than all these Facebook Groups! So download Places today! It’s available in the US and Israel on iOS and Android is coming soon!
