Last week was a whirlwind trip and we were so busy! I didn’t get that chance to post about our Wednesday-Friday adventures.

During this time we went to the Museum of Natural History, the Holocaust Museum, Hard Rock Cafe, Arlington National Cemetery, Museum of Illusions, toured the Capitol, and saw the National Mall Monuments. We also attended the Missouri recognition session for star events and other conference activities.

We are so thankful to everyone that kept us in their thoughts and prayers and supported us on this trip. It was amazing and educational, and a great opportunity for our students to step outside of Dadeville and learn more about the world, themselves, and who they want to work on becoming.

Also a huge thank you to Shannon Cornelison for coming along and being Ms. L’s right hand person again. She has been a huge help over the years and Dadeville FCCLA is so thankful for her time and support.

I would also be remiss without shouting out Mady Cornelison. She was a huge help to Wyatt this week in getting him where he needed to go for the conference when Shannon and Ms. L were in a volunteer session. She also always brings a smile and laughs. This was her third and final NLC as a Dadeville Bearcat, and she truly showcases what Dadeville FCCLA is all about.

Congratulations again to Wyatt! We recognize and appreciate his hard work that made it possible to go to DC.

Well, it was a little bit of an adventure but we FINALLY made it to Washington DC!!

We are exhausted and ready for an actual bed tonight, but we always know how to have fun.

Here are some pictures of our journey so far! We have a lot of fun adventures and learning activities set up for the rest of the week!

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes on our journey to get here! We also thank everyone who supported us and made this trip possible!

What’s better on a hot 4th of July than fresh squeezed lemonade 🍋 🤤 ?! Come see us at the parade Saturday morning by the community building! We will start selling at 10:00 AM and we will accept CASH and CARD!

In case that doesn’t cool you off enough, we will also be selling Dadeville fans! These handheld, battery operated fans are sure to keep you cool as you spend the day celebrating our awesome nation! ❤️🤍💙

All proceeds will go to Dadeville FCCLA and finish up our fundraising efforts for our trip to D.C. We leave Sunday for a funded week in our nation’s capitol! Thank you for your continued support!

Dadeville FCCLA will be hosting a movie night Saturday, June 27!

We will be screening Wyatt Asbell’s video, “Cyberbullying: The Social Kill Code” before the movie. This video will be presented at the National level competition in a few weeks!

Concessions will include BBQ chicken sandwiches and nachos as well as hamburgers/cheeseburgers and the regular menu items, so come see us for dinner too!
