Our toddlers enjoyed expressing their creativity through easel painting. Working on a vertical surface encouraged children to use different arm and shoulder muscles while exploring colors, brush strokes, and artistic expression. This hands-on activity supported fine motor development, pre-writing skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity.

We love providing opportunities for children to explore art in ways that build both confidence and important developmental skills.

Rise & Shine Kind Child Assembly!

Today we learned all about RESPONSIBILITY!

We read Llama Llama Mess Mess Mess and talked about what it means to be responsible both at home and at school. Our friends shared great ideas about cleaning up after ourselves, taking care of our belongings, helping others, and doing our part—even when no one is reminding us!

We’re so proud of our little Kind Children for learning that being responsible is one way we can show kindness and care for others!

Our preschoolers strengthened their pre-writing skills through a lacing card activity. Children carefully threaded laces through the holes in the cards, building the hand strength, coordination, and control needed for future writing success. This hands-on experience also encouraged focus, problem-solving, and perseverance as they completed their designs.

Activities like lacing cards help develop the foundational skills children need as they prepare for more advanced writing and classroom tasks.

Our preschoolers practiced an important early literacy skill by using dobber paints to trace the first letter of their names. As they followed the shape of each letter, children strengthened letter recognition, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination while building confidence in their emerging writing abilities.

Activities like this help children make meaningful connections between letters and their own names, creating a strong foundation for future reading and writing success.

A SPECIAL GIFT OF FAITH!

We are so blessed by the generosity of one of our amazing Cadence Academy families! One of our parents donated John 3:16 shirts for our teachers to wear every Wednesday for Chapel.

What a beautiful reminder for our teachers and children each week that God’s love is at the heart of everything we do.

We’d love to hear from YOU!

What is your “3:16 moment”?
Maybe it’s a moment when you felt God’s love, experienced an answered prayer, received unexpected kindness, or saw God working in your life.

Share your 3:16 moment in the comments and help us spread a little love and faith!

Thank you to our wonderful family for this meaningful gift! We are so grateful.

Our preschoolers became authors and storytellers as they created their own stories using felt pieces and a felt board. Children used their imaginations to build scenes, develop characters, and share unique storylines with their classmates. This engaging activity supported language development, creativity, communication skills, and story sequencing while encouraging self-expression and confidence.

Providing opportunities for children to tell their own stories helps foster a love of language, literacy, and creative thinking.

Our preschoolers put their creativity and engineering skills to work as they built castles with Magna Blocks. Children explored how magnetic pieces connect, experimented with different designs, and worked to create sturdy structures. This hands-on activity encouraged problem-solving, spatial awareness, critical thinking, and imaginative play while strengthening fine motor skills.

Through building experiences like these, children learn to plan, create, test, and adapt their ideas, laying the foundation for future STEM learning.

Our infants enjoyed a sensory-rich finger painting experience with red paint. Using their hands and fingers, they explored the texture of the paint while creating unique works of art. This hands-on activity supported sensory development, fine motor skills, creativity, and early color recognition.

We love providing opportunities for our youngest learners to explore, create, and discover through meaningful experiences.

Our young learners had a wonderful time participating in an Egg Roll activity! Ms. Promise created tunnels on the floor using construction paper, and the children enjoyed rolling plastic eggs through them. As they explored the movement of the eggs, they practiced hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, problem-solving, and concentration while having fun with a hands-on learning experience.

Activities like this encourage children to explore, experiment, and develop important foundational skills through play.

Our preschoolers spent time exploring their emotions as they talked about how they felt on their first day of school. Each child selected an emotion card that represented their feelings and shared their thoughts with the class. This meaningful activity encouraged children to recognize and express emotions, build self-awareness, and strengthen communication skills.

Creating opportunities for children to identify and discuss their feelings helps build the foundation for positive social-emotional development and successful relationships throughout the school year.
