CFISD names new principal for Sampson Elementary School April 23, 2026—Ericka Good, director of instruction at Smith Middle School, was named the principal at Sampson Elementary School on April 23. Good replaces Heather Motzny, who will retire in June.

26 CFISD schools recognized on 2025 Texas Honor Roll April 16, 2026—Twenty-six CFISD schools were recognized on the Educational Results Partnership’s (ERP) Texas Honor Roll for 2025.
