I have taught high school in CFISD & at university. I will work with your schedule to find a time to help your student succeed. I spent most of my childhood in Alexandria, Virginia. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University before moving to New York. There I earned a Masters of Art from New York University and pursued a doctorate at City University of New York Graduate
Center. I followed my mother and grandmother in the profession when I began teaching as an adjunct art history instructor. Since 1990, I have taught at a variety of colleges including NYU, CUNY, SUNY, and, after moving to Houston in 2003, at UH campuses and College of the Mainland. In 2014 I began teaching high school in CFISD. I have taught English II, English III, AP English, AP/DC Art History, and PSAT Prep. I have helped hundreds of students write academic resumes and college essays. I am a full-time tutor and will work with your schedule and my availability to find a time to help your student succeed. Sessions are available both in-person or over Zoom.
