Austin families, early drop-off will begin tomorrow, Friday, August 14, to help reduce traffic and wait times.

Please note: From 7:00–7:25 a limited number of staff members supervise students in the cafeteria. Students may read, draw, or work quietly.

Early drop-off is only for students who can: Exit the car and walk to the cafeteria independently. Separate from their family without assistance. Sit and work quietly until 7:25

If your child needs help getting out, is reluctant or upset, or is not ready to wait quietly, please arrive at 7:25, when our full staff is available to assist.

Thank You, Car Rider Families!

Thank you for being ready today! Most families had the correct car rider tag, brought an ID when needed, and followed our new steps.

We are also thankful for your patience and kindness. On the first day of school, we load hundreds of cars! It is our busiest pickup day of the year!

Each day will get faster and easier as our students and staff learn the new system. Thank you for helping us get every Austin Cub home safely!

It has been great welcoming our Austin Cubs back! A few quick dismissal reminders:

Car rider lines will be longer today. Please have your numbered sign visible and bring your photo ID. After 2:30 p.m., all pickups must use the car rider line. Buses may also run late. PK and kindergarten parents must show a bus pickup card to the driver.

Our Cubs are BACK, and Austin Elementary is full of life again! ❤️🐾

The hallways are filled with laughter, classrooms are buzzing with excitement, backpacks are unpacked, pencils are sharpened, and friendships—both old and new—are already beginning to grow. 🥰✏️📓

There’s just something special about the first day of school—the big smiles, nervous excitement, sweet hugs, and all the possibilities a brand-new year brings. ❤️

We are SO excited to have our students back where they belong and can’t wait to see all the learning, growing, memories, and FUN this school year has in store!

🎉 GAME ON, CUBS! 🕹️🐾

What an incredible time we had Friday at the Caney Creek Feeder Zone Pep Rally! Our Austin Cubs showed up ready to play, bringing the fun with our Pac-Man theme—and we’re excited to share that we took home 🥇 1st Place for Creativity!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring our vision to life and cheered us on. We loved spending time with our feeder schools, celebrating school spirit, and getting excited for an amazing new school year.

Here’s to a year full of teamwork, school pride, and making memories. Let’s go, Cubs! ❤️🖤
