Bringing skills for the next generation to grow their own food can be simple as bringing gardening workshops to Scouting events. I had the pleasure to bring a “Grow Your Own Food” workshop to my friend’s Cub Scout Den. I presented the basics about starting a family garden, how to grow the perfect tomato, how to plan a garden on paper and then ultimately create individual herb gardens to take home. Encountering the soil personally and getting the seed of knowledge to sprout is just the beginning. I bring workshops such as these to my local community for years now.

I often don’t take the time to enjoy being a student in a yoga class for myself. Today was the exception. As a focal point on the City of Cu***ng Town Center, there is a bright open space yoga studio with welcoming doors for the community. Angel, the owner of The Heart Studio used to take my yoga classes years ago. Now she has been guiding this community for a couple of years now. Today’s class was a Yin & Vinyasa class that added creative shapes and dynamic flows woven within. I enjoyed this pair of yoga shapes that I have affectionately named “flamethrower” series. Tower of healing sound displays my different tools for sound healing. At this point in time, the only Yoga that I teach is once or twice a week at Lifetime Fitness and John’s Creek. In those couple of yoga classes, I always offer sound healing during Savasana at the end of class . I continue to offer sound healing sessions with my collection of sound healing in instruments. As seen here, is the highlight of my singing bowls made out of quartz crystal. People collect all kinds of things. I collect wellness!

Barter becomes in fashion once again! Participating in two different event events in which I can sell some of my homegrown and handmade wares sometimes brings us back to an old school economy. Bartering is when you trade goods and services for other goods and services. Today one of my favorite food trucks full of plant based wellness came to the Land Trust Spring Fest. Serving up seasonal plant based food along with healthy plant-based medicine tonics with a foundation of tea, is at the top of their game. I have seen and supported them at the Heartwood community events in North Georgia. It was a delight to have them here at this urban oasis event! They took a pack of tomatoes and exchange for delicious food and drink! Sometimes the best currency comes in the form of being made or grown with your own two hands. Small business shout out!

My handmade tie-dye, as well as a few items of handmade jewelry will be featured at the sale!
