FCHS DECA took 76 students to International Competition in Anaheim, CA that had over 23,000 competitors from all 50 states and 10 different countries.

Last weekend, during TSA State Leadership Conference, our TSA team soared to unprecedented heights, clinching top honors in a myriad of competitions. With unwavering dedication and boundless creativity, our students attained first place in five competitions at the State level, followed by second place in three competitions and third place in two more. Additionally, they showcased their excellence by securing positions in the top 10 in seven other fiercely contested events. This remarkable feat stands as a testament to the hard work and ingenuity of our students, filling us with immense pride and admiration. Congratulations to our outstanding team for their remarkable achievements.

Pathway spotlight! β¨ FCHS has 3 fantastic marketing pathways led by Mrs. Smith, Coach Rooney, and Mrs. Virgo. In the marketing pathways, students gain real-world experience through project-based learning, presentations, and DECA. Students have the opportunity to participate and run our SBEβs: Dawg Prints Print Shop, Fan Central, and Bulldog Bistro. Our marketing program is industry certified, ensuring your child is learning skills that prepare them for the workforce.

At the CTAE Excellence Awards Gala on March 27th, Forsyth County Schools will have the opportunity to name one middle school and one high school CTSO advisor of the year. Our last pathway highlight for this semester is our Automotive Technology pathway. The auto pathway at FCHS is one of the most outstanding in the country, and is the only high school program to be recognized as a Toyota TECS Elite Program! This program is a college program designed to certify students to be Toyota and Lexus technicians. In addition, the automotive program offers students many other industry certifications and opportunities, as well as participation in SkillsUSA, EV Team, and Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Team events. The leaders of this pathway are Leah Bavirsha and Andrew Graham.

Our next pathway highlight is our amazing Veterinary Science pathway! This pathway prepares students to work in the veterinary and animal agriculture industries, teaching them basic animal handling skills and medical procedures. Mrs. Ashley Dowdy leads the pathway and serves as the advisor for the FFA Organization.

Time for another amazing pathway highlight! Today we are highlighting the Teaching as a Profession pathway! This pathway gives students the opportunity to get experience in the classroom at partnering schools while learning all about being an educator. Students can also participate in the FCCLA CTSO. The pathway is led by Dr. Jonathan Feicht.

A/V Technology and Film is one of our many amazing pathways at FCHS! This department is led by Mr. Jason Hanline. Students participating in this pathway gets lots of great experience for the A/V and film industry, and are able to participate in the CTSO Skills USA.
