What a night of great music!

FS Music and Rooting Around Downtown (R.A.D.) joined forces for jam night Sunday at the kava bar. It was a wonderful time for everyone playing, singing and enjoying the music.

Jam session will be a regular event at 7 p.m. Sundays at R.A.D. kava bar, 414 N.E. Third St. in beautiful Crystal River.

We would love to see more local musicians, singers and poets join us. Bring your instrument, bring your voice or simply come out to listen, relax and support our local music community.

EXCITING NEWS AT FS MUSIC

FS Music – Crystal River’s oldest music store – is excited to welcome ERICA to our teaching tam!

Erica will be offering private Vocal lessons, group vocal lessons including introduction to m music, guitar lessons and a rock band program for young musicians.

Erica brings a wonderful combination of musical experience and genuine love of teaching children. She as six years of choir experience, eight years of guitar experiencing and three years teaching coal music at the Boys and Girls Club in Lecanto.

She especially enjoys helping young students discover their confidence, creativity and love of music – and, as a big Disney fan, you can expect plenty of fun and enthusiasm along the way.

SUMMER HOURS

FS Music has temporary Summer Hours Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning July 9.
Sign up for lessons in guitar, bass, banjo, drums and voice. We are a Step up for Students provider.
We also repair band instruments, guitars, amplifiers and electronics.
Band instrument rentals are handled through Music & Arts.

NEW program for the summer!
Join us Saturday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at FS Music in Crystal River for a fun introduction to playing in a real band.

Meet other musicians, jam with our instructors, and learn an easy rock song together — no experience needed. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience what it’s like to play in a band, this is your chance.

Come make music, meet new people, and see what FS Music is all about.

Come out and rock with us at the FS Music student showcase 6 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at he old Crystal River City Hall, 123 N.W. US 19 in Crystal River. We'll be in the pavilion under the oaks. Bring lawn chairs, snacks, drinks and bug spray (it's Florida, it's outside).

A big shout out and thank you to the city of Crystal River for letting us use this beautiful facility and to local performer Walter Whitney for lending us us his stage sound system.

Support our students- there could be a future rock star and you can say you saw them when they were just starting.

And, for anyone considering lessons or just curious, come out and check out the show with your future rock stars and meet the music director and sign up for lessons. We have bands for all ages and skill level.

I can't forget to thank all the students who worked hard and practiced hard to reach this level and the support of their parents to make sure they practiced and got them to lessons. All of you are rock stars too and they couldn't be there without you.
