Bright Beginning Children's Learning Center We are a Private Early Childhood Education Program with TWO Convenient Locations!

We offer year-round programs for children ages 2-5 years in the Crownsville and Glen Burnie areas. Bright Beginning is MD EXCELS rated level 3, Follows MSDE approved InvestiGator Club curriculum supplemented with correlating educational activities planned by our qualified teachers. All of our staff participate in MD Credential Program and complete professional development throughout each school year. Daily special activities included in our program: Spanish Language, Fitness & Sports, Yoga & Mindfulness, Dress-Up Days, Show & Tell, Positive Education

🧼 Let’s chase the germs away! 🦠

We experimented with how germs react to soap! We added “germs” (black pepper) to warm water and saw what happened when we touched the water with clean fingers versus soapy fingers. Once the soap was added, the “germs” quickly moved away!

Then, during centers, we practiced the steps of proper handwashing and talked about how healthy habits help keep germs away. 💦🫧

👐 Proper Handwashing Steps:

1. Wet hands with clean, running water
2. Add soap and lather
3. Scrub all parts of your hands for at least 20 seconds
4. Sing “Happy Birthday” twice while you scrub!
5. Rinse well
6. Dry with a clean towel or air dryer

Week two is coming to a close at Bright Beginning, and we have so much to celebrate! 💛💚

Our classrooms are starting to feel a little more familiar, friendships are beginning to grow, and those first-week jitters are turning into confidence, curiosity, and lots of smiles. 😊

From new routines to new discoveries, our children are learning, connecting, and making Bright Beginning feel like their home away from home. 🥰📚

Circle Time is one of the most impactful parts of your child’s day. It helps set the tone for learning, connection, and success throughout the day, which is why it is so important for every child to be part of it!

During Circle Time, our children are learning so much more than sitting together. We explore calendar math, including the days of the week, months of the year, and the numerical day. We also take a deep dive into our learning topic or theme of the day.

Our teachers encourage children to be curious, ask questions, share their ideas, explore answers, and learn from one another. 💡✨

It is a time to connect, learn, participate, and grow together. 💛💚

Here at BBCLC, we are proud to offer a full-day, high-quality preschool program that provides a balance of child-led and teacher-led activities throughout the day.

Here’s an example of what a typical day at BBCLC looks like:

🕡 6:30am – Center Opens
🕡 6:30–7:30am – Free Play
🥣 7:30–8:00am – Breakfast
🎶 8:00–8:30am – Music & Movement / Story Time
🌳 8:30–9:30am – Outdoor Play (Weather Permitting)
👥 9:30–9:45am – Whole Group Activity (Opening Circle Time)
🍎 9:45–10:00am – Morning Snack
🌳 10:00–10:30am – Outdoor Play (Weather Permitting)
🎨 10:30–11:45am – Small Group Activities
👥 11:45am–12:00pm – Whole Group Activity (Mid-day Circle Time)
🍽️ 12:00–12:30pm – Lunch
📖 12:30–1:00pm – Story Time
😴 1:00–3:00pm – Nap / Rest Time
