Duties and Responsibilities:
-Provides continuous supervision to children to ensure the health and safety of children.
-Maintains classroom and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
-Records daily observations of children’s behavior and activities; monitors behavioral patterns and develops assessments and profiles.
-Cooperates with other staff to maintain the smooth functioning of the center, which at times may require changes to meet the needs of the children.

Play and Learn is seeking positive, energetic, and nurturing Childcare workers!

PRESCHOOL TEACHER - 9:30am-6:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Becomes acquainted with, and abides by, all policies of Play Centers, Inc.
-Manages classroom ensuring compliance with all MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
-Plans adapt and schedule an age-appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate the children’s cognitive skills, abilities, and development.
-Provides continuous supervision to children to ensure the health and safety of children.
-Maintains classroom and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
-Sets up room and areas for various activities such as lunch, naps, games, etc.
-Records daily observations of children’s behavior and activities; monitors behavioral patterns and develops assessments and profiles.
-Cooperates with other staff to maintain the smooth functioning of the center, which at times may require changes to meet the needs of the children.

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma.
-45-hour Child Development
-45-hour Infant/Toddler Curriculum
-1-year of experience working with infant/toddler children
-9-hour Communication Training or 1 credit approved college course
-3-hour ADA Training
-3-hour Basic Health and Safety Training

Our Childcare Aides will supervise and manage a group of children in cooperation with the Center Teachers.

PRESCHOOL AIDE: 9:30am - 6:30 pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages classroom ensuring compliance with all MSDE-OCC regulations, company standards, policies and procedures.
2. Plans, adapts and schedules age appropriate curriculum involving various activities to stimulate the children’s cognitive skills, abilities and development.
3. Provides continuous supervision to children to ensure the health and safety of children.
4. Maintains classroom and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
5. Records daily observations of children’s behavior and activities; monitors behavioral patterns and develops assessment and profiles.
6. Cooperates with other staff to maintain the smooth functioning of the center, which at times may require changes to meet the needs of the children.

To be considered for the Childcare Aide, the candidate must meet the guidelines of the Maryland State Department of Education - Office of Child Care:

-18-year of age
-High School Diploma
-Experience working in an approved childcare
-3-hour Basic Health and Safety Training
