Indiana Junior Classical League Encouraging an interest in and an appreciation of the language, literature, and culture of ancient Greece and Rome The state chapter for Indiana is the IJCL

The National Junior Classical League is an organization of junior high and high school students sponsored by the American Classical League. It is composed of local and state chapters made up of students of Latin and classical humanities and is the largest classical organization in the world today. Its purpose is to encourage an interest in and an appreciation of the language, literature, and culture of ancient Greece and Rome and to give students some understanding of the debt of their own culture to that of classical antiquity.

Are you a good writer or artist? Do you want to see your work get the recognition it deserves? If so, submit to the Veritas et Scientia this year! We want to create a canvas on which to display what JCL is all about. Want to talk about what your chapter's up to? Have a great idea for a funny article inspired by Greece or Rome? Want to air your opinions on where you think JCL should go in the future? Want an excuse to teach people about the classical world? Maybe even have some cool artwork you want to show off? Whatever it is, as long as it's appropriate and classics-related, submit to Veritas for a chance for your work to be seen by all of Indiana! (or at least all the cool people in it).

Thank you to all who have signed up for tomorrow's JCLink Classics Chat!

As a reminder, this will take place this Wednesday, September 2nd, at 6:30 p.m. EDT and is set to end before 7:30 p.m. EDT. No worries if you have to leave early or join late.

The meeting link will be open regardless of whether or not someone has filled out the Google form; there's still time to encourage your friends to attend! For future reference, these will be occurring monthly. The next JCLink session is currently set for Monday, October 19th, and will take place at the same time (6:30 p.m. Eastern).
