We made it back to the U.S!
๐
Honestly, we just want borders to be gone, but that is not for us to decide..
Therefore we have to play with the rules. Since I am European with a B2 tourist visa, I could travel up to 8 months in the U.S. One day before the visa expired, we drove over the border to Canada without knowing if I will be able to go back to the U.S.
๐
We spent 2 month exploring Vancouver island and then went back to the main land to drive to Shambhala music festival. There we volunteered pre and post show for our tickets. After this we hoped to find an opportunity to work as farm hands in Creston/Ericson, but were unsuccessful. .
๐
Anyhow we decided to try to get back into the U.S earlier than was required, in case they decided not to let me back in. That way I'd have time to catch a flight back to Austria.
๐
The border at Salmo was our choice. It is a tiny border with just 2 officers ๐ฎ
๐
After the first few questions from the officer I felt a little relieved since there seemed to be no problem so far. In the office, the officer told me, that I will get 6 more months! ๐ณ . I kept my cool to the outside, but inside my head I was celebrating ๐๐๐
๐
After we entered the U.S., Ty put in wrong coordinations and we ended up driving 30 minutes off course and ended up in Grand Coulee- a little town with the biggest concrete dam in the world. A local (Jake) suggested that we should spend the night at Crown Point Vista and that's what we did! We woke up with a view on the huge dam and spent the morning with taking videos and this picture ๐
๐
Afterwards, we had to finally find a place to fix our broken propane regulator- I had to cook on our wiggly camping stove for the past 3weeks and wanted my 2 burner stove back!!!
๐ And that's how we found the real deal out of any mechanic! T&T, Welding and RV supply & repair in Gran Coulee ๐ Paul is the only mechanic in his own shop and damn, he is a great dude and mechanic! He had the part we needed on hand and guided Ty through on how to install it, lending him all the necessary tools!! ๐ง What a happy ending ๐
