Part 2

Last Friday was a big day at Cumberland County High School as we celebrated our very first Senior Signing Day hosted by GEAR UP TN!

Our seniors were recognized for the exciting paths they’re taking after graduation, whether that’s college, the military, technical school, or entering the workforce. We were proud to have representatives from colleges, the military, and the Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce there to help celebrate and support our students’ next steps.

The gym was full of excitement, pride, and lots of cheering as students signed for their future plans and were celebrated by classmates, staff, families, and community members. It was a great reminder that success looks different for every student, and every path deserves to be recognized.

We’re proud of the Class of 2026 and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of them! ✈️💙

Join us on May 8th at 9:00 AM in the CCHS gym as we recognize our seniors and the paths they’ve chosen after graduation. Whether they’re heading to college, TCAT, the workforce, or the military, this day is all about celebrating their next step.

Families are welcome and encouraged to come be part of this moment. It’s a big milestone, and we’d love for you to share it with us. We also plan to live stream this event for those who can’t attend in person, so you won’t miss it.

We’ll also have college representatives, Chamber members, and military guests there to support our students.

It’s going to be a proud and meaningful morning for our seniors and our community. We hope to see you there! ✈️

We had such a great time at our Jet Preview: Ready, Jet-Set, Go! event last Thursday at CCHS! ✈️

Thank you to our amazing CCHS admin, teachers, and students for showing up and making the night so welcoming and fun for our future Jets. We are also so grateful for our clubs, community members, CCS school counselors, the Afterburner food truck, and the Jet Pride Marching Band for helping make the evening extra special.

It truly took a team, and we appreciate every single person who played a part! 💙

*Deadlines: Submit 16 hours by Aug. 1, 2026 for the 26-27 school year

*You can count non-paid volunteer/community service hours starting from Aug. 1, 2025 until Aug. 1, 2026.

*You need 16 hrs for Fall 26-27 school year and an additional 16 hours for Fall 27-28. You can go ahead and complete all 32 hours and submit them if you choose.

What counts as community service?
Community service involves contributing your time to a nonprofit or public service organization, with the goal of benefiting the community through your efforts. As a college student, you can also volunteer in your field of interest to gain valuable experience. This means that job shadowing related to your career path may count toward your community service requirement, allowing you to develop professionally while fulfilling this important obligation.
