23rd Memorial of 9/11
By a joint resolution approved Dec. 18, 2001 (Public Law 107-89) has designated Sept. 11 of each year as "Patriot Day," which also directs the flags be lowered to half-staff for the entire day on Sept. 11.

On Patriot Day we reaffirm the spirit of patriotism, service and community that we felt in those days and months that followed the attack. It's the perfect time to consider volunteering in activities that will enrich our lives and strengthen our nation. Please pass this along to others.
