UMC Financial Aid & Scholarships

UMC Financial Aid & Scholarships

I am Joy Esta Talal, 19 years of age taking up Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Early Childhood Education. I am an incoming 4th year student and until now, I am seeking financial support for my studies, because my family is not able to fully support me in my studying especially in financial aspect, because I still have two siblings who are studying. Both of my parents are farmer and their salary is not enough for our daily living. When we do not have allowance, my mom and dad will go to our neighbors to seek for help and they always said to us they will do everything even when other people will say something about them, they just want us to finish our studies. That’s why I am doing my best part as a student and as a daughter, when I was in third year I am a Dean’s Lister for two consecutive semesters, I am also a member of the official choir of our school the “Choraliers” and we sing in any kind of celebration/occasion when someone invited us. During Saturday and Sunday I have my weekend appointment, I teach choir in the church, I teach in the Sunday school of the children, and I play piano/organ during the Service, and they give me a love gift and I use it as a support for my allowance and as help also to my parents. That’s why I am seeking for your help in terms of financial, as a support in my studies, because I really want to finish because i want to be a fulltime deaconess in the near future to teach little children and to help the United Methodist Church. I promise to do my very best in my studies as an exchange for your support if I will be given the chance to be part of your scholarship program. Thank you so much and God bless.
