📣 Exciting Kindergarten News! 💙💛

We have wonderful news for our youngest Woodchucks! 🦫 AACPS has approved an additional kindergarten teaching position at CWES, allowing us to return to five kindergarten classes for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

This means smaller class sizes and even more opportunities for individualized attention, small-group learning, and support for our kindergarten students. 💛

📧 Kindergarten families, please be sure to check your email! Some families have received important information regarding updated teacher assignments and next steps. Additional communication will be coming soon.

We’re so excited to welcome our kindergarten Woodchucks and kick off an amazing year of Belonging, Growing & Shining! 🦫✨

🎒🌞 Kindergarten Play Date Reminder! 🌞🎒

Just a reminder that our final Incoming Kindergarten Play Date is TOMORROW, August 19, from 6:00 PM–8:00 PM at Swann Park!

All incoming kindergarten students and their families are invited to join us for a fun evening of playing, socializing, and meeting other future kindergarten classmates before the school year begins. Snacks will be provided.

We hope to see lots of new faces there!

Tonight’s first Kindergarten play date was a huge success! If you have an incoming CWES kindergartner, please come join our next meet up on Sat Aug 1 from 10-12 at Swann Park.
