☔️🐱🐶 Today it was not only raining cats and dogs outside BUT also on the inside. Our 5th graders have been learning about everyday idioms we use and their meanings. They dressed as an idiom to share with their peers. As you can tell, we have some very creative students. It was truly a great day of learning for all our students.

It is finally beginning to feel like fall has arrived. Our first round of MAP testing is behind us. This data will be used to set individual goals for our students this year. Average student growth should be between 10-15 points on this test.

This week we have a couple of field trips. Kindergarten and First Grade have their field trip on Tuesday. Fourth Grade will attend the 4H Farm Safety Day on Thursday. If you have not already, please return the permission slip and fees for these trips.

This Thursday afternoon will be our next visit from Kona Ice. We will se sending home the flier with information tomorrow.

If you still have chocolate fundraiser money, please get it turned in as soon as possible.

Next week is Fall Break. Our students and staff have been working very hard this year. This will be a nice break for them all.

This week in PE our students have being using hula hoops in a variety of ways. Primary students have been using them to help learn their directions and playing Hula Twister. Our intermediate students have been working together to build a hula hut working on patience, teamwork and giving directions to their peers.
