This work is invaluable in helping direct future research and support activities for companies such as your own. This is the first qualitative worldwide survey of the activity of companies within what we have termed ‘Lean Industry 4.0’. By the term ‘Lean’, we include other related improvement approaches such as Operational Excellence, Enterprise Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, and Agile. By the term ‘Industry 4.0’, we include other related technology approaches such as Smart Manufacturing and Digital Transformation.
