Hello all!
Please excuse the late notice and confusion. The parent potluck/pizza and performance is still take taking place tomorrow. There were some administrative logistics that needed to be settled to ensure we would be able to meet. The schedule for everything is as follows:

5:00 - end of rehearsal
5:15 - gather for potluck and pizza
6:15 - students begin moving towards performance location and gathering instruments
6:30 - parent performance
7:00 - pool party (optional) at crewe country club

In the event that we are unable to use the stadium due to this week's weather, please be prepared to view/perform the show at the practice field.

For the potluck/pizza, please only bring what you are willing/able, you should not feel excluded due to a lack of contribution.

This is *not* a public/community performance. This is a select preview for the families to celebrate the hard work that has taken place over the past 2 weeks both at home and at the school to contribute to the success of the program.

Hello All!
In case you mssied the email, there is a marching band meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at 7pm. Please plan to join us that evening for important logistics, camp preparation, and a chance to meet the new high school director!

Student leadership should plan to arrive at 6:30.

Good afternoon, Nottoway Families!
In preparation of the upcoming marching season, prospective and returning marching band students and families should plan on joining the new high school band director and band boosters in the high school band room on Thurs. July 23, at 7pm for a highly important informational session regarding the marching season, band camp, and boosters.
Student leadership should plan to arrive half an hour prior (6:30) for a leadership meeting with the new director.

Congratulations to our seniors and a big shout out to our band students and parents! It was a hot one and they sat out there playing and selling waters like nobody’s business!

I am so proud of all of you and hope you continue to work hard and have fun!

We celebrated the end of another fantastic year of “banding” with some delicious food and many awards! This year was bittersweet with Ms. Smith leaving so there are many pictures! Congratulations on another successful year and keep up the hard work and dedication!

The Band Boosters will be selling water at the Graduation ceremony on 6/6! Bring cash to support the band!

We had a BLAST 🚀 seeing the Richmond Symphony Orchestra perform Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” and John Williams’ “Star Wars” as well as getting to hear a world premiere of Stacy Garrop’s “Of Grace and Grit” about Virginia astronaut Leland Melvin!

Getting to go out and see professionals playing your instrument is an amazing experience and we are so glad they got this opportunity!

TONIGHT! Come see the NIS/NMS/NHS Bands and NIS Choir perform their final concert of the year!
The HS will be doing a "Donation Challenge" where the student who raises the most money tonight will get the chance to pie Ms. Smith in the face!
