đ§ A huge shoutout to Fitz Freeze Frozen Treats for helping us beat the heat today with some icy cold treats!
Thereâs no better way to wrap up Week 2 of Summer Camp than with snow cones, sticky smiles, and happy campers. đ

What better way to beat this summer heat than building snowmen⌠indoors! âď¸â
Our 3-year-olds traded sunshine for snowflakes today as they created their very own snowmen masterpieces. While we may not have had any real snow, we had plenty of creativity, giggles, and fun!
Activities like this help strengthen fine motor skills as little hands pinch, glue, place, and create. These small movements are building important muscles theyâll use later for writing, cutting, and so much more.
Who says you have to wait until winter to make a snowman? âď¸

Today was our first in-house field trip of the summer, and what a fantastic way to kick off the season!
We were so excited to welcome the Kentucky Science Center to our school for a morning full of hands-on experiments, exploration, and discovery. Our children had the opportunity to become scientists for the day, asking questions, testing ideas, and learning through play and investigation. Experiences like these help spark curiosity, build confidence, and show children that learning can be both exciting and fun!
A huge thank you to the Kentucky Science Center for bringing science directly to our students and creating such an engaging experience for everyone involved.
We also want to give an extra special shoutout to our amazing parent volunteers who spent the morning alongside us helping run activities, encouraging our young scientists, and joining in on the fun. Parent involvement is one of the most valuable parts of our school community. When families partner with us, children see that learning matters both at home and at school. The support, time, and energy our parents give help make experiences like this possible.
It truly takes a village, and schools simply couldnât do what they do without the incredible families who step up to volunteer, support events, and invest in our children. Thank you for helping us create meaningful memories and learning opportunities for our students!

SUMMER CAMP + WATER DAY = THE OFFICIAL START OF SUMMER!
Today was our very first Water Day of the season, and the campers were READY! From splashing and giggling to cooling off under the sprinklers, it was the perfect way to kick off all the summer fun ahead.
Water play is more than just a way to beat the heatâit helps children build confidence, develop coordination and gross motor skills, practice social skills with friends, and explore the world around them through play. Plus, thereâs nothing quite like the sound of happy kids laughing on a sunny day! âď¸
If today was any indication, we are in for an amazing summer filled with adventures, friendships, memories, and plenty more splashes!
Summer Camp 2026, youâre off to a great start!

Every day, we are surrounded by families, community partners, local businesses, and caring individuals who help make meaningful experiences possible for our children. From donations and volunteer time to simple acts of kindness, those connections help us create lasting memories for the children in our care.
As part of our Pre-K Graduation celebration, we made special keepsake pencils matching each childâs heightâa fun way to capture just how much theyâve grown during their time with us. These little graduates have come so far, and we wanted to send them off with something they can look back on for years to come.
A huge thank you to Caitlin at Home Depot on Westport Road for generously donating the supplies we needed to bring this project to life. Your support helped us create something truly special for our graduates, and we are so grateful.
To our families, community members, and local partners: thank you for being part of our village. Together, weâre helping children learn, grow, and succeedâone milestone at a time. âď¸

After what feels like the rainiest May EVER đ§ď¸âŚ we finally made it back outside and you wouldâve thought our toddlers had just been released into the wild
Thereâs just something magical about fresh air, muddy shoes, sidewalk chalk, and little legs running full speed across the playground again. Outdoor play gives toddlers so many opportunities to grow â from building gross motor skills and coordination to encouraging social interaction, confidence, imagination, and sensory exploration. Plus⌠sometimes everyone just needs a little sunshine and wiggle time
Safe to say the playground has been MISSED around here

And just like that⌠our babies are graduating Pre-K.
It feels like yesterday some of them were taking their very first steps into our classrooms â some still wobbling on tiny feet, learning first words, getting first teeth, and needing extra hugs at drop-off. Now theyâre walking across the stage with big smiles, huge personalities, and hearts ready for kindergarten. đĽš
Weâve watched them grow through every little milestone: learning letters, making friendships, gaining confidence, finding their voices, and becoming the amazing little people they are today.
Pre-K graduation is such a special reminder that while they may not stay little forever, weâll always remember the giggles, messy art projects, silly stories, and all the âlook what I can do!â moments along the way.
To our graduates: we are SO proud of you and all youâve accomplished. Kindergarten better get ready⌠because this class is coming in smart, confident, and ready to shine. đđ

Our toddler classrooms had so much fun creating their own Papel Picado while learning about different cultures, traditions, and celebrations from around the world! Introducing children to diverse cultures at an early age helps build kindness, curiosity, inclusion, and an appreciation for others. đâ¤ď¸
This activity was also a BIG toddler milestone because our little learners got to safely practice using scissors with a teacher close by to help guide them! Cutting activities help strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, focus, and the small hand muscles needed for future writing skills.
Tiny hands, BIG learning⌠and yes, a few tiny paper scraps absolutely everywhere. đâď¸

Cadence Cares partnered with the Oldham County Public Library to help our children sign up for library cards and get registered for the summer reading program! đ
Introducing books and literacy at a young age helps build language, imagination, comprehension skills, and a lifelong love of learning. Reading together also helps children strengthen focus, communication skills, and creativity while creating meaningful connections with the world around them.
We are so thankful for amazing community partnerships like the Oldham County Public Library that help make learning exciting and accessible for our families. We canât wait to see all the adventures our little readers go on this summer! â¤ď¸
