🌿🐑 At Little Lambs Academy, learning extends beyond the classroom!

One of our favorite parts of the day is our nature walks!

These "little lambs" love singing songs, exploring God's beautiful creation, and cooling off with yummy popsicles along the way. Every walk is an opportunity to learn, wonder, and give thanks for the beautiful world God has made. 💚☀️

Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality for all.

Although President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, many enslaved African Americans in Confederate states remained unaware of their freedom until Union troops arrived to enforce it. On June 19, 1865, Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston and announced General Order No. 3, proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas. This day became known as Juneteenth and is recognized as a celebration of freedom and hope.

Little Lambs Academy will be closed today in observance of this historic holiday as we honor its significance and reflect on the importance of liberty, justice, and unity.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and joyful day of remembrance and celebration.
