Here is information on bus transportation for AHPS 2023 Summer School.

LOW MOOR — The Alleghany Highland Public Schools Division will provide limited transportation service for summer remediation (summer school) which will be held at Mountain View Elementary School June 5-29.

Summer School opportunity
Operates: June 5-29
Days of Operation: Monday - Thursday
Hours of Operation: 8:00am - Noon
Location: Mountain View Elementary School,
Low Moor
Limited bus transportation is available.
•Students MUST attend in-person on June 5.
•Chromebooks will be loaned out on June 5.
•Courses offered through Edgenuity.
•Classes offered for Credit Recovery or Seniors needing a class for graduation.
•Eighth grade students are required to attend in person. This is mandatory.
•Grades 9-12 may work virtually from June 6-29.
•Students who choose to work virtually will be monitored for progress. If a student falls behind in progress, they can be asked to attend sessions in person.

Today brings a new chapter in the lives of our graduating senior students. It's GRADUATION DAY !! We can't wait to celebrate their success as they receive their high school diplomas.
We wish them the best in life, and much success as they search new beginnings. It's been a pleasure to watch these students grow and mature into wonderful young adults.

Today's ceremony is extra special, as it marks an end to Covington High School as it exists as a high school. In the fall it will serve the community as a middle school. It will become Covington Middle School and will host students 6th, 7th and 8th grades. We wish them the best as we welcome them to the building with new adventures and great success.

Sol testing schedule:
May 10. History SOLs
May 11. Reading SOL
May 12. Math SOLs
May 16. Science SOLs
May 17- 22. Expedited testing

Testing sessions begin at 8:30am. Students should be at school daily between 8 AM and 8:15 AM. Students need to bring their Chromebooks and charging cords daily for their use in SOL testing. Students need to try to be at school on time in the mornings.
