Newton County Schools will support families during the upcoming winter break by offering five days of no-cost breakfast and lunch meals for children. Meal pickup will take place on Friday, December 19, at designated school sites.

All children aged 18 and younger—and individuals aged 21 and younger with a state-recognized disability—are eligible to receive these meals at no cost. Families may pick up meals on a first-come, first-served basis during the scheduled times.

Santa and reindeer will be in downtown Covington on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 6 PM to 8 PM on the Square! Visit Santa in his Santa chair, the reindeer by the Christmas tree, get your face painted by Powders and Paint face and body art for a nominal fee, and pick up a book from the Discover Covington, GA table. Lines may close around 7:30 PM depending on length. 🎅🏻🦌

Stone Soup Thanksgiving at Camp BELLs!

Our clients helped “cook” their very own Thanksgiving meal using the story "Stone Soup" as our guide.
Each ingredient in the book came to life as the children added potatoes, carrots, meat, stuffing, biscuits, cranberry sauce, and gravy to their bowls — building cooperation, communication, and confidence along the way.

This wasn’t just an activity. It was group learning, shared smiles, sensory exploration, and a beautiful moment of community.
