📣 Open House Starts This Week!

We’re excited to welcome students and families back to school! Open House events begin tomorrow and provide a great opportunity to meet teachers, pick up class schedules, get supply lists, talk to bus drivers, and more.

📆 Open House Schedule:
📍 Tuesday, July 29 – Middle Schools | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Wednesday, July 30 – High Schools | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
➡️ Newton College & Career Academy | 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM (to allow time to also visit base school's Open House)
📍 Thursday, July 31 – Elementary Schools | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
➡️ Newton County STEAM Academy | 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

We encourage all families to attend and help their students get ready for a great year!

Today's FCCLA table was poppin' with excitement at NCCA's Ways To Join Lunch event! Over 100 popped by to see what we had planned for this upcoming year, and our officer team did an amazing job recruiting potential members! Our "ulimate journey" has officially begun.......Stay tuned!

FCCLA Officers, along with other NCCA CTSOs, put together a Fall Festival for the 2 Pre-k classes today! We had an incREDible time playing games and giving out treats!

This week, NCCA FCCLA wanted to spread awareness about distracted driving. With the help of Teens of Drivers Seats, we held 2 interactive assemblies, gave away Swag Bags while sharing info during lunch, and did seatbelts and cell phone checks in the student parking lot at dismissal. I am amazed at the level of engagement and involvement, and even more excited that we have such a incREDible Officer Team in place to help facilitate all of my crazy ideas. Hopefully, everyone took away something new as we prepare for Fall Break!

ECE3 helping out @ Porterdale Elementary today! I am super proud of my 17 associates and grateful for the PES staff for the opportunity.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, ECE's Kimberly Toro-Rodriguez (Level 1 & 2 simultaneously) was reading in English and Spanish to our pre-k students. She claimed to be nervous but did a great job!I

Today, ECE3 learned tips and strategies to teach math to elementary students. Thank you again to Porterdale Elementary's Instructional Coach Mrs. Morrow! We really appreciate you helping us extend our learning!

Touchdown w/FCCLA was a total success today! Lots of eager members came out to take part in the biggest meeting in NCCA FCCLA History! We are ready to take on what will be an "incREDible" year!

Today was "incREDible" as we welcomed 48 out of 78 members to "Touchdown w/FCCLA!" We had to move locations 3 times to accomodate all of our eager members as we laid out a plan for the year as we ate, played games, and fellowshipped for 2 hours. Everyone left excited and ready to take on this year!

Special Shout-Out to our officer team, all 3 advisors, and our fabulous members for making this meeting a success. It was truly an "incREDible" afternoon!
