Congratulations to our overall Bobcat of the Month...Darrell Kinnel!

Darrell is a high school student from Avoyelles High who is dual enrolled in our Certified Nursing Assistant program. He is also a dual enrolled student at LSUA all the while he is playing high school sports and works a job.

💙💛Employee Spotlight: Marissa Coco has served as PN Coordinator / Allied Health Instructor at the CLTCC Ward H. Nash Avoyelles Campus since August 2020.

Marissa’s deeply sentimental nature and her genuine love for spending quality time with family naturally translates into her role as an exceptional PN instructor. Just as she cherishes creating lasting memories with her loved ones-often over a comforting snack like chicken salad-she brings the same warmth, patience, and intentionality into the classroom and nursing lab. Her sentimentality allows her to empathize with her students, recognizing that learning a demanding profession is an emotional journey filled with milestones worth celebrating. By creating a supportive, family-like environment where her students truly feel seen and valued, she helps them build confidence alongside their clinical skills. Ultimately, Marissa doesn’t just teach nursing; she creates a nurturing space where future healthcare professionals feel anchored, inspired, and truly cared for.

When asked what excites her most about working at CLTCC, Marissa shared: "CLTCC gives me the opportunity to help students achieve their dreams of becoming healthcare professionals. I love watching students grow in confidence, develop their nursing knowledge and skills, and reach milestones they once thought were impossible.”
