Our children had the opportunity to choose a book, get cozy with their animal companion and explore the joy of storytelling. This simple activity encourages early language development, communication, concentration, independence and a love for books; all while nurturing their imagination and confidence.

We value giving children meaningful opportunities to explore, make choices and learn through hands on experiences. Sometimes the best audience is a cuddly little friend! 🥰📚

Transferring & “Pouring” with Pom Poms

Our friends are exploring early “pouring” using soft pom poms. While not a liquid, pom poms offer a safe and developmentally appropriate way to introduce the concept of transferring materials from one container to another. This hands on activity supports independence, coordination and concentration while aligning with Montessori practical life principles.

A few skills that are being developed are:
-Bilateral Coordination: They are using both hands together (one to hold, one to transfer) builds coordination across the body.
-Concentration & Focus: Repetitive transferring encourages sustained attention and engagement.
-Early Practical Life Skills: This activity prepares children for real pouring tasks with liquids as they grow.
-Sensory Exploration: Soft textures and bright colors stimulate tactile and visual senses.

This simple yet meaningful activity supports whole child development while nurturing curiosity and a love for learning.

We had an absolute blast sponsoring and being part of Cotati’s Kids Festival this past weekend! 🎉💛🧡

It was such a joy seeing so many smiling faces throughout the day and connecting with families in our amazing community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, participated in the fun, and especially to all the wonderful families who joined us on our parade float. You helped make the day even more special!

Events like the Kids Festival are a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so unique. We love being able to celebrate, connect and create lasting memories with local families. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s festival such a fun and memorable experience. We can’t wait for next year!
