We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Seth Blackamore and got to hear about his own adventure in the Eastern Sierra Mountains. Seth is a fly-fisherman, former-college professor, current high school football coach, and inspirational speaker, who recently co-wrote Fishin' Trails 2.

Fishin' Trails 2 | Book Review The Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains are a wild place—not the typical image of California that first comes to mind. They are rugged, exposed, epically dramatic.

Robert Ruark would have been 101 years old today. Somewhere between the bullfights, African safaris, best-selling books and Spanish mansions, he earned the nickname "A Poor Man's Hemingway."
"There is one way to separate the men from the boys," he said "that is to watch and see if a feller'll do a thing the hard way, when all the other fellers are sitting around grumbling and quarreling that it can't be done." He cut loose anther amber stream at the fire and looked at me with his head cocked sideways, like a smart old dog. "Most people quit doing things as soon as the wire edge has worn off and it ain't fashionable or comfortable any more. That makes it the beauty part for a few individuals. Soon as the clerks run to cover, the big people got the field to themselves."

The density of game in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is astounding. Visiting there is basically like going on a self-guided American Safari. Here is a small herd of pronghorn from the Gros Ventre. We saw Bison, pronghorn and moose within minutes of each other this day.
