The next time you are wondering if you should try a different shape on your client. The answer is always yes. The flex rod gives a softer curl taking away from the length of her lashes, while the flex shield gave her lashes a more lifted appearance.

Did you know that Elleebana’s silicone’s have an expiration date? Yes that’s right, the shields , hybrid shields and rods do have a shelf life. And although you may find yourself replacing them far sooner because you lost a pair to the sink or the trash. The ones you use day in and day out will start to loose there luster and or shape. And that is because they do need to be replaced.
These have a 2 year shelf life. So if you find yourself struggling to work with your favorite set. It just may be time to replace them. Two things I do to keep mine in tip top shape is…
1. Not tinting on them, I tend to see more brunette lashes then lighter lash’s so tinting my silicones do not allow me to see the darker lashes as well, leaving my self with not the best results.
2. Not letting my silicones sit in my sanitation tray longer than 10 minutes as the disinfectant tends to break them down so much sooner than I would want. So making sure to stay vigilant, rinsing right away and putting them back in their designated place.
This might be your sign to check your stock and get spring ready. Happy Friday everyone.

Q2 class dates are up. And for all my future students, I wanted to answer some frequently asked questions. But first a little background on myself. I have been a certified trainer and distributor with Elleebana since 2016! Whoa… where did the time go. My training facility is located in Orange County, CA specifically in the city of Costa Mesa. I have been a licensed Esthetician since 2006 graduating from I have been working with lashes just as long and had never found a product I could rely on as much as I could with Elleebana. I opened my brick and mortar in 2012 and currently work with an amazing team of professionals .society.
I hold classes for lash + brow lamination once a month. I keep my classes small on purpose maxing them out at 4 students per class. This is done to ensure I can give my full attention to my students.
Models are required , so I ensure I find 2 per student. The first half of class is dedicated to going over manual, questions and the educators model demo.
Everything needed to offer a lash and or brow lamination is given in your kits. The only thing that is missing and will need to purchased separately if you so desire will be our lash and brow tint products. If interested those can be purchased after class. Lash and brow tinting are taught and practiced during class.
You are not automatically certified after finishing your course. Case studies will be required to be turned in within 3 months of your class. A total of 5 models are required, however 1 of your models from class can be submitted leaving you with 4 to be finished on your own. Case studies are gone over in-depth during class.
Both classes are full days of learning so come ready with a lunch and snacks because there is so much amazing information coming your way. Class begins at 9 am usually ending around 4 or 5 pm depending on the class. I supply all products needed for class the only things that are used from your kit will be for the lash lam course and that will be your lash lifter tool and your glue.
I hope to see you in class soon. And if you can’t make it to Orange County, I have year round online course available as well.

Question… are your clients lash lifts looking as dark as you would like after you tint them? If not it’s time to change your approach. Let me know or if you are interested in learning how to paint your clients lashes. It’s super simple and effective. And no it does not require you to tint on the shields/rods. 😝 who currently feels their color is not as bold as you would like it to be.

Have you ever been caught with lashes that are no longer sticking to your silicone rod/shield in the middle of your lift? And instead of holding the lashes in place or even trying to laying them down with saran wrap you can now place these little life savers down and worry no more. They come in 3 different colors, and are easily sanitized like the rest of your silicone mediums. Never lift without them again.

Here is a subtle demonstration of what a round rod ( c curl ) looks like next to the hybrid flex shield. ( the perfect mix of rod and shield ) I love being able to offer my clients choices in lifts. Assuming their eye allows for it. I usually ask my client if they are looking for a natural round lift , or a dramatic lifted look, and if they can’t quite make up their mind the hybrid ends up being the happy medium. And it never lets any one down. Have you had a chance to work with the hybrid shield yet?
