In celebration of API history month, read "They Called Us Enemy," a graphic novel authored by pop-culture icon and Star Trek actor, George Takei. Experience his moving retelling of his memories as a Japanese-American forced to live in internment camps in the wake of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Here's how you can participate:

1/ Read the book! Borrow a copy of the book for up to 7 days (a very easy read) at the OCC Library circulation desk.

2/ Share your thoughts on the "They Called Us Enemy" Padlet: https://bit.ly/occapihmbookclub22

3/ Join a live discussion on Thurs, May 12th 3:30 PM on Zoom. Together, we'll read some the responses on the padlet and unpack the most significant themes and topics from the book.
