Under the Sea Week

We dove into an unforgetable
Adventure during Under the Sea Week at A PLAYce 2 A Playce 2 Learn A PLAYce 2 Learn We kicked off the week with a trip to the pool on Monday, It was the perfect way to start our ocean-themed week! Sam got creative (and delicious!) with Baking with decorating ocean-thrmed cookies. We cooled down at Splashdown! To wrap up the week, we took a trip to the Maritime Aquarium, where we explored the wonders of the sea! From jellyfish and sharks to seals and stingrays, our campers were in awe of the amazing marine life.

Week 1 - Splash in the USA.
What an incredible start to our Summer Camp Splash! This week was all about celebrating the great USA through creativity, fun, and friendship. The campers kicked off the week by introducing themselves, and reconnecting with old friends. The children showcased their projects on different aspects of the USA, impressing everyone with their creativity and knowledge.
We made a splash in the pool, water slide and water play
Our USA Party brought everyone together for a festive celebration! From red, white, and blue decorations to delicious snacks. Adding to the fun, the horseback riding allowed campers to connect with nature and learn about these amazing animals. They even got to brush them. Lastly, we were able to create some delicious cake pops with Sam Sweets. A huge thank you to all our campers for making Week 1 a fun filled week! We can't wait for another week filled with more adventures and fun! Stay tuned for what’s coming up next!

The students enjoyed the polar animals unit, immersing themselves in the world of the Arctic. The children discovered how these animals stay warm in the frigid Arctic climate and what they like to eat to survive. They enjoyed a variety of hands on activities. It makes us so happy to observe these young explorers, and hear the new language they learned. Our learning was filled with excitement and discovery, making the learning experience both educational and fun.

In Week 5 - Survivor week, the kids had a blast working together to build tribal huts and survive on the AP2L island. They tackled daily challenges at AP2L and also participated in activities such as baking, gymnastics, dance, and Empire Ninja, which tested their teamwork, strategic thinking, competitive spirit, and relationships. Watching these kiddos work together, build, make decisions and HAVE FUN was the best part.

During the 4th week of summer camp, the theme was "Under the Sea." The campers dived into the fascinating world of ocean life, learning about different marine creatures and their habitats. Week 3 was all about science! We had an amazing time delving into the world of science. The kids were so enthusiastic about experimenting, trying out new things, and doing some critical thinking. We even took a trip to the children's museum, where we had a blast exploring and learning. Additionally, we had a fun-filled day at playland, and we enjoyed some educational water play activities. During their time baking with Sam, they learned about the crucial role of baking soda in the baking process. It was a week packed with hands-on learning and exciting discoveries! During the second week of AP2L summer camp, our focus was on immersing ourselves in nature. We delved into the fascinating world of bugs, animals, and plants, with the older campers taking the lead in creating engaging lessons to share their knowledge with everyone. One of the highlights was the creative cupcake decorating activity by Sam, where campers brought animal designs to life in delicious treats. We also had a blast at dynamic gymnastics and worked up a sweat!To beat the summer heat, we enjoyed thrilling water activities, including slip-and-slide fun, water slide and swimming at the pool. And of course, we couldn't resist the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Skyblue Stables for some horseback riding. It was a truly memorable and enjoyable week at AP2L!
