Saw these posts and had to share because this is everything I’ve been saying. Guidance and training shouldn’t come with a cost. Dancers should feel safe to train and learn from others. This is about their future not what you give to them for accolades.
Dance training should never be about ownership or control. Your studio and teachers should want your dancer to grow, and that means encouraging opportunities to learn, train, and be inspired by others.
đźš© A major red flag: when a studio tells you who your dancer is allowed to train with, discourages outside training, or tries to control every master class or opportunity they attend.
Great teachers don’t fear outside training — they support growth.
Your dancer should be surrounded by people who want to see them become the very best version of themselves, even when some of that growth happens outside their own studio walls. ❤️
