Metro Elementary Beach to Bay 2023 Teams. Our girls placed 3rd in the Elementary Female Division. We are very proud of our teams! Congratulations!

UPDATE: THE MANDATORY PARENT MEETING WILL BE MOVED TO TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH ON ZOOM AT 6:00 P.M.

62 total students came out to tryout to be on this year's running team. Congratulations and welcome to 28 new runners to the Metro E 2021-2022 Running Team!

We are 54 RUNNERS STRONG! There will be a mandatory parent zoom meeting at 6:00 p.m. September 7th.

The transportation to the Miller vs Vets game for my own children has caused the postponement of the Parent Meeting. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you.

That's it! The 2020-2021 Running Team Season has come to an end! Thank you, Miss Staropoli, for helping me manage attendance and zooms! You're an awesome co-sponsor! Thank you, Mrs. Sefcik, for helping me manage the runners every Wednesday! Your experience and words of wisdom were always welcomed and appreciated! Finally, to the parents, thank you for allowing your child to try-out and be a part of this running team! This year was difficult, but we had a lot of fun and released a lot of endorphins to get us through the year!

A special thank you to: Mrs. Aguillon, Mrs. Quiroz, Mrs. Torres, Mrs. Buckler, and Mrs. Licon (our counselor). I can't do this party by myself, thank you for your help and donations.

4th and 5th graders are automatically on the running team next year. Look for announcements about when we will begin next year. Beach to Bay is in October, we we need to start training!!

Running Team Last Day and End-of-the-Year Party

I’m so proud of the runners! This year was different, but we still had a lot of fun!
We will miss our 6th graders, but we wish them well as they move on to middle school next year. Also, all students who are currently on this year’s running team are automatically on the running team next year. No try-outs for you! Look for announcements next year about when the Running Team will begin practices.

May 5, 2021 at 3:15 p.m. is our last day AND our party out front by our tree.
Cost: $2 to Mrs. Rodriguez BEFORE May 5th (this is for the pizza for running team members only)

Additional OPTIONAL cost for the DAY OF THE PARTY: The KONA ICE TRUCK will be here! The prices vary by size: $3, $4, $5, and $6. Running Team parents/guardians and siblings may purchase from the truck too!

Last day of running team will be May 5, 2021. We will also have our End-of-the-Year party that day too! The fun will be outside by our running team tree.

So proud of these kids! They did a great job running today!

Our first race is this Saturday! I'm so excited! Registration is closed, but you can still register in person on Thursday and Friday packet pick up times!

There will be NO Running Team practice on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. See you Wednesday, Feb. 24th.
