Juan Seguín, often called the “Paul Revere of Texas,” played a critical role during the Texas Revolution. Sam Houston entrusted him with the urgent mission of warning settlers that General Antonio López de Santa Anna and his army were advancing. In recognition of his bravery and leadership, the city of Seguin was named in his honor. Today, a bronze statue commemorates his legacy, and visitors can also pay their respects at his gravesite, located on the hill near the coliseum.

So many of us don’t know the history of our people and as @badbunnypr has said, we have to educate ourselves because schools don’t do it. Here are some books to get us started: 1. Fantasy Island 2.
