We’re officially kicking off auditions for Grease: School Version and we cannot wait to see our talented CCISD students light up the stage this summer!

From big musical numbers and iconic characters to unforgettable memories and friendships, our summer musical has become one of the highlights of the year — and this summer is going to be ELECTRIFYING ⚡️

🎭 Open to ALL CCISD high school students
🎶 No preparation needed — students will learn music and choreography at auditions
✨ Whether you’re a longtime performer or trying theatre for the first time, we want to see you there!

Last year, our performances nearly sold out, and we are so excited to continue growing this incredible opportunity for students across our district.

Miller HS proudly presents the final performances of our award‑winning UIL One Act Play, “Anna in the Tropics.” This production made school history by placing in the ✨Top 12✨ as 5A Alternate to State. Join us for an evening of Cuban flair, live music, and a beautifully compelling story of passion, heat, and the power of family. 💃🏽

SYNOPSIS:
This poignant and poetic play is set in Florida in 1929 in a Cuban-American cigar factory, where ci**rs are still rolled by hand and “lectors” are employed to educate and entertain the workers. The arrival of a new lector is a cause for celebration, but when he begins to read aloud from Anna Karenina, he unwittingly becomes a catalyst in the lives of his avid listeners, for whom Tolstoy, the tropics and the American dream prove a volatile combination. This show explores mature themes.

The Metro Prep Musical Theatre Class is thrilled to present the first Metro Prep Musical EVER, Dare to Dream, JR.! Join us as our students bring their biggest dreams to the stage where Disney magic comes alive and anything is possible!

SYNOPSIS:
Disney’s Dare to Dream, JR. is musical r***e that follows an eager group of trainees on their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio. As the group sets out to help each other discover their dreams, they work together to explore the power of dreams to unite, inspire, and make anything possible. Drawing from a century of beloved Disney films, Dare to Dream JR. features songs appearing for the first time ever in a Disney stage musical, including fan-favorites from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, and Frozen II. This musical r***e is a thrilling mix of contemporary songs, timeless classics, and brand-new medleys that are sure to surprise and delight Disney lovers of all ages. 🎼
