In lieu of the Christmas card we couldn’t get out there, here is our Christmas update for you:

I wrapped up my role as Director of Ops & Finance at Semi-Retired MD (last day was Friday) and already miss my team more than I expected.

Rod and I celebrated our 5-year anniversary, and I still thank God daily for the gift of him and our life together.

Meilee and the twins moved closer, making it easier to see the kids every week!

The twins turned 5 and started kindergarten which somehow feels like they are 5 but actually now 15 at the same time.

Kayla and Thomas moved closer, and then Rod and I decided that still wasn’t close enough so we moved even closer to them. Best decision.

Austin was our realtor when we bought our home this year and absolutely crushed it.

Ash and Cam are still in the same house, the same jobs, and still show up ready to play games and spend time together which I never take for granted.

Ry and Wyatt moved closer too, even if it’s still a 45-minute drive. Ry graduated from college, and Wyatt is building his freelance marketing business.

Brayden moved out with friends this year and has been working as an electrician. It is weird to see him so much less.

We’re officially empty nesters, which feels like a honeymoon stage for us.

This year reminded me that sometimes the holidays don’t look the way you imagined.

So instead, I’m letting it be a season of…

Releasing control of what is.

Enjoying the moment, no matter what it holds.

Slowing down enough to see the good, especially when you have to look a little harder.

Spending my time in alignment with what I value most.

So grateful to have so many good people in my life! Merry Christmas!!!🎄🎁

Three weeks ago today my dad called to tell me he and my mom were in a terrible car accident. The minute I got that call I raced to the hospital and have been with them every day since.

My mom broke 14 bones and has had multiple surgeries.

Life changed instantly.

There have been moments that were incredibly hard. Stressful. Overwhelming. And at times, scary.

Through all of it, I’ve been reflecting on how spending this time with them is exactly where I’m meant to be right now.

Living in alignment with what matters most makes those stressful moments feel meaningful.

It has been a reminder of the good in people (so many amazing people from medical staff to volunteers to strangers to the amazing police lady who came to visit when she was off work.)

It has reminded me to celebrate the “progress” of any kind. (I never thought seeing my mom sit up on the edge of her bed for 60 seconds would bring tears to my eyes...it felt like such an impossibility the week before.)

And finally, most importantly, to never ever ever take the privilege of time with the people we love most for granted.

Last night, while watching Wicked, I was thinking about the song “For Good” and why it impacts me so deeply every time I hear it..

That song is a reminder of how the people in our lives shape us.

Some by staying.

Some by walking beside us for only a moment.

And some by appearing right when our story needs them.

We rarely notice the impact in real time.

It’s only when we look back that we see the imprint they left on who we’ve become.

In life (and yes, in business too), the people around us soften us, stretch us, steady us.

They influence the risks we take, the things we release, and the version of ourselves we grow into.

So the next time you hear “For Good,” maybe pause for a second.

Who are the people
who’ve changed you?

And who are the ones you’re quietly changing, without even realizing it?

Wanna live in the BEST neighborhood… in the BEST house?

We’re heartbroken to say goodbye to this place (seriously, we love it here!) — but we’re moving nearby and hoping the next owners love it just as much as we do.

This home is perfect for families who love to entertain and want easy, low-maintenance living.

🏡 4 bedrooms | 3 full baths | 2 half baths
🚗 3-car garage
🛋️ Huge living room + open kitchen
🎉 Massive basement rec room
🌳 Impeccably maintained yard & landscaping (HOA covers snow removal + yard care = YES PLEASE)

If you’ve been dreaming of the kind of home that checks all the boxes, this is it.

DM me if you want the details before it hits the market!

One of my favorite things about the beach isn’t the sun or the waves.
It’s watching the kids.

They gather without instruction, no agenda, no finish line - just a shared purpose to build something.

With so much joy and enthusiasm, they dig, shape, and create together.
A castle. A hole. It doesn’t really matter.

What matters is the together.
No roles. No rules. Just unity and purpose.

It reminds me: the joy isn’t just in what we build,
but in who we build it with.

To my best friend.
My #1 supporter.
My person who always listens (which is a full time job, lol).

There is no post I could write.
No words I could say that would ever be enough.

I am so lucky I get to love you.
I (and my kids) are so lucky to have you in our lives.

Happy 5 years (and Fathers Day) Babe ❤️

The key to feeling deeply connected to your business—or your work—is connection itself.

Time and time again, I’ve coached women on building their businesses, only to find that the conversation naturally turns to their relationships. Because here’s the truth: you can’t separate your life into neat little categories and expect to thrive in just one.

Your work is connected to your heart. Your creativity is fueled by the relationships that hold you. That deep conversation with your husband? It matters. That moment of presence with your kids? It’s everything. The time you spend with your VIPs—whoever they are—ripples into everything you do.

You don’t have to choose between connection in life and success in work. In fact, you can’t. All of it is connected.

The secret to a business (and a life) that feels whole? Tend to all the pieces of you. Every relationship, every moment, every breath is part of the story you’re writing.

Today is Thomas’s birthday! 🎂

If you know him, you know how lucky we are to have him in our family. His wedding to Kayla was one of the absolute highlights of last year, but what stands out even more is the husband (so weird to say that), son in law and all-around incredible person he is every single day.

He keeps us all entertained with his masterful hole-digging-to-nowhere skills while on vacation—because if there’s a beach, you can bet Thomas will be out there digging.

He’s an absolute beast on his bike…. The best athlete I’ve seen… well, besides Kayla, of course. 😉

But the thing I’m most grateful for? The way he loves my daughter. He shows up for her in every way that matters. He supports her, makes her laugh, and stands by her side. That’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Happy birthday, Thomas! We’re so lucky to have you. 🎉

Last month, for the first time in years, I didn’t think about work for seven straight days. Not an email, not a task, not a single to-do. And now? I feel more refreshed, inspired, and excited about work than I have in months.

For so long, I wore my workaholic tendencies like a badge of honor. I believed productivity came from endless hours, pushing through burnout, and proving my worth through exhaustion. But here’s the truth I’ve finally uncovered: the most productive, creative, and expansive parts of me don’t emerge when I’m running on fumes.

The secret to productivity isn’t doing more. It’s allowing yourself to stop. To rest. To recharge.

It’s an illusion—this idea that working nonstop is what gets us ahead. True growth happens when we step back, breathe deeply, and let ourselves simply be.

So, this is your reminder (and mine) to give yourself permission to rest. You might just find that when you do, the best parts of you come alive.
