This has been one of my favorite projects; a mother and daughter performing the stirring duet, "For Good" from the musical, "Wicked". At first working individually through their vocal ex*****on and then coming together to work on a combined artistry, the entire process was wonderful to watch as these two women explored both the nature of their individual voices and of their shared and dynamic mother-daughter relationship through the poignant poetry of this expertly crafted song.
Please enjoy this performance of "For Good" by Mrs. Lisa Stroud and Ms. Bailey Stroud.

This is Julie Fuselier. Julie is a wife, mother, grandmother, church greeter, nurse, and a teacher of nurses. Julie is also a devoted participant in Oxygen Choir. In recent years, she has performed in various concerts and worship services in Cornelius and Greensboro, NC and in various churches and venues throughout southwestern Germany as a member of Oxygen Choir's tenor section.
Julie's desire to learn more about her vocal instrument led her to seek further instruction in vocal mechanics and artistry. Learning the mechanics of the singing voice and how to apply artistic preferences to and through it is a multi-step process that involves acquiring new knowledge, skills, values, attitudes and behaviors. It is also a process of changing one's beliefs, attitudes, behaviors and feelings about things related to the physiology and psychology of one's self. As you might imagine, this is no simple task and requires much thought, patience, time, and practice.
After months of study & practice, Julie performs "A Change In Me" for this public audience. For all singers, this is a courageous step. Enjoy.

Ms. Roxana Vergara is a budding young artist with a passion for musical theater and postivie affirming messages. Recently, being given the opportunity to bring her own song selections to her lessons, she selected songs that were based upon her friendships and the issues that she and her friends discuss amongst themselves. "Who Says", dedicated to her young friends, is one of those songs. Please enjoy this young artist's performance as she works to use her talent to encourage and inspire.

Ms. Thalia Brown began studying her voice for many of the same reasons and goals that many singers pursue; confidence, power, range, etc. Little did she know that, along the journey, she would discover that she was a soprano, not an alto, and that she would learn to love the qualities and abilities of her own voice. She has enjoyed developing all registers of her voice so that she can enjoy a broad spectrum of musical styles including gospel, blues, jazz, and classical.
Thalia is a dedicated and successful professional within the world of finance while also enjoying a break from the world of numbers and accounting as a skilled freelance cosmetic artist. Please enjoy her performance, "Alabaster Box".

In preparations for a recent trip to Germany, Lisa approached me and said, "I'd like to go with the choir on their mission trip and to help. Perhaps I could help with stage management, setting up and tearing down? But I can't sing. I am no singer."
Lisa Stroud is many things; a successful real estate agent, a dedicated wife and mother, a CrossFit athlete, and a life-long student of all things math and science. But there was one thing she absolutely did not consider herself to be...a Singer.
Deeply tied to her faith and to many fond childhood memories of working with her artistic and creative father, Lisa decided to embrace her desire to learn and to commit to diminish strong self-doubts. In this performance of "Once Upon A Dream", from Jekyll and Hyde, Lisa displays the evidence of her strong work to put distracting doubt and self-negating nervousness into the back of her mind while utilizing what she has effectively learned about vocal mechanics and artistry. Please enjoy.

Terri Blumer is an avid fitness instructor, an entrepreneur, a dedicated wife, and a committed champion of a mother. Finding the time to pursue her vision for her singing voice requires passion and vulnerability. In this performance of "Once Upon A Dream", Terri displays the evidence of her work to remove strain from her vocal production, to discover and become familiar with other layers and colors of her instrument, and to connect good vocal technique with expressive singing. Please enjoy.
