ACTC’s IT students attended the 2026 Splicing Rodeo at Huntington Bank Arena and Conference Center in Tupelo! The event introduced students to fiber-optic splicing and career opportunities in the technology that keeps our communities connected.

🍎 Future educators exploring future possibilities! 🍎

ACTC’s Educator Preparation students visited Blue Mountain Christian University to tour campus and learn about exciting developments, including plans for a new nursing building starting in the spring.

Students also heard from several student teachers who shared stories about their BMCU journeys and experiences preparing for careers in education.

🚒 Exploring careers in the fire service!

A big thank-you to Chief Chris Kelly and the Corinth Fire Department for welcoming ACTC students and providing a valuable learning experience!

Students have been studying the fire service hiring process, requirements for entering the Mississippi Fire Academy, and state physical fitness standards. This visit brought those lessons to life as students heard firsthand from professionals about pursuing a career in the field.

As part of their class project, students are also preparing presentations to share with their classmates and completing a job application, cover letter, and résumé.

We appreciate Chief Kelly and the Corinth Fire Department for investing in our students and helping them prepare for their future careers!
