Faculty highlight: Aki Kumar
Bollywood meets the Blues in Aki Kumar who has always loved music. Growing up in India he learned to love the music of Bollywood and American pop music. When he came to the US he was captivated by the genre we call the blues. He brings an infectious enthusiasm and great playing to his music.

Menucha's Harmonica Northwest 2025, our fourth annual event, will be held on October 23-26 next year.

We're still tingling from the fabulous time we had at HNW 2024. Many thanks to the Menucha staff, our students, instructors Joe Filisko, Eric Noden, Ross Garren, Hank Shreve, and Greg Heumann, and to the amazing Curtis Salgado, who joined us for the final day of the workshop. Here are some videos and photos that will give you a taste of what we experienced. If you're a harmonica player who wants to take your playing to the next level with the help of the best instructors in the world in a spectacularly beautiful setting, put these dates on your calendar. Registration for Harmonica Northwest 2025 will open next year.

SPECIAL SHOW: Kim Field and the Perfect Gentlemen are heading into the recording studio in a couple of weeks. We will be previewing some of our new original material at a special show on Friday, Nov. 8, at Portland's favorite blues venue, The Blue Diamond PDX. Wait, there's more! Yours truly, Whit Draper, Vyasa Dodson, and Denny Bixby will be joined on this gig and in the studio by one of the greatest drummers anywhere, Portland's own Jimi Bott. This will be a hell of a show.
