Our team gathered for our first staff in-service day, preparing, planning, praying, and getting ready for an incredible 2026–2027 school year.

We’re so grateful for the teachers and staff who pour their hearts into making Ridge Academy a place where students are known, encouraged, challenged, and pointed toward Christ.

📸 Sometimes the best evenings don't leave you with a camera roll full of photos because we are busy enjoying the moment.

Our Back to School Picnic was one of those evenings. 💙

Families gathered to eat Chick-fil-A 🍗, children laughed on the bounce house and the playground, and new friendships began while familiar friends reconnected. It was a reminder of what makes Ridge Academy special. More than a school. We are a community. ❤️

Still learning. Still growing. Still building on a firm foundation.

At Ridge Academy, we believe that learning never stops, and that includes our leaders. Last week, our Head of School spent three days in Kansas City at SchoolBox 2.0: Firm Foundations, a best in class training presented by the Herzog Foundation.

The conference was a reminder of who we are and what we are building at Ridge Academy. We are planted in the Word of God, rooted in truth, and committed to an education that recognizes Christ as the foundation of everything we do.

We are grateful for the opportunity to step away, learn alongside other Christian school leaders and return with fresh ideas and renewed vision for the year ahead.

A special thank you to the Stanley M. Herzog Foundation for awarding Ridge Academy a seat at this exceptional training. We are grateful for your investment in our school and in the future of Christian education.

Here are 5 screen-free activities children actually love:

🌿 1. Go on a Nature Scavenger Hunt
Can you find a butterfly, a feather, a smooth rock, and three different leaves?

📚 2. Read Under a Tree
Grab a blanket, a favorite book, and enjoy a story outside together.

🏕️ 3. Build a Backyard Fort
Pillows, blankets, sticks, or cardboard boxes. Let their imagination do the rest!

💦 4. Explore a Creek or Park
