People always say how awesome it is that we have kind and how amazing it is and I always have to bring it back to our parents!
We have the absolute most amazing parents in the world and they make kind exactly what it is! They are always willing to lend a helping hand, to offer some sort of support, and to ask how they can be of assistance!
They've also trusted our program and programs like ours even though they know that it is so different than what the norm is. They decided to choose a different path for their learners and for that I'm forever grateful.
I want to give the biggest shout out and thank you to our families, thank you for being a part of our Kind Academy Community! I'm so excited to see all the amazing things we get to do together again next year! π

Today we are celebrating the incredible Ms. Gaby. ())
Ms. Gaby brings so much joy, energy, and creativity to Kind Academy. She has a playful spirit that learners naturally gravitate toward, and she knows exactly how to turn learning into an adventure.
Whether they are building STEM projects, tinkering with new ideas, making wonderfully messy creations, or laughing through educational games, Ms. Gaby makes every day feel exciting. She has a gift for teaching social-emotional skills in a way that feels authentic, fun, and deeply meaningful.
She reminds us that some of the best learning happens when children are moving, exploring, creating, and connecting.
Everyone who works with Ms. Gaby says the same thing: she is an absolute joy to be around.
We are so grateful for her passion, her heart, and the magic she brings to our community each and every day.
Thank you, Ms. Gaby, for helping our learners fall in love with learning.

Not every child thrives in a traditional classroom.
Some children need more movement.
More creativity.
More connection.
More time outdoors.
More individualized support.
More joy.
At Kind Academy, we believe learning should feel meaningful, hands-on, and deeply human.
Our learners cook real food, build projects, perform musicals, explore nature, develop friendships across ages, and master core academics in a nurturing environment where they are truly known.
This is a school for children who are bright, curious, sensitive, creative, and sometimes misunderstood in conventional settings.
If your child has fallen out of love with learning, Kind may be the fresh start your family has been looking for.
A limited number of spots are available for Fall 2026β2027.
We accept Florida scholarships, including FES-UA and FES-PEP.

Happy Kind Guide Apprectiaton Week to Ms. Brooklyn!
Today we are celebrating Brooklyn ( ) for Teacher Appreciation Week, and oh my goodness, we absolutely adore her. πππ
Brooklyn is pure sunshine.
She brings so much joy, laughter, and positive energy to our school. The second music comes on, she is dancing. The second a learner needs support, she is right there with a smile. She has this beautiful way of making learning feel fun, natural, and exciting.
Our learners absolutely love her, and it is easy to understand why.
Brooklyn has a playful spirit that matches the kids perfectly. She is kind, nurturing, and incredibly talented. She knows how to connect with learners in a way that makes them feel safe, seen, and genuinely excited to learn.
This year, she was a huge part of bringing our Hamilton production to life. From helping learners rehearse to coordinating costumes and making sure every detail came together, she helped turn a big dream into an unforgettable experience.
Teaching is truly in her DNA. As the daughter of an amazing homeschool educator (shout out to Marie Poppins), Brooklyn grew up surrounded by creative, child-centered learning, and it shows in everything she does.
We are beyond grateful to have her at Kind. She is joyful, brilliant, caring, and an absolute gift to our community.
Thank you, Brooklyn, for the love, laughter, and magic you bring to our school every single day. We love you.

To the mothers, grandmothers, aunties, godmothers, and mother-figures who make our community what it is: thank you for showing up, holding it down, and loving fiercely.
We see you. We love you. Happy Mother's Day. π

We are in the thick of a literacy crisis in this country, and almost nobody is doing anything about it.
We're watching high schoolers who can't read the word "silhouette" or comprehend basic sentences. 70% of US 4th graders aren't reading proficiently. Adults are graduating from a system that failed them, then spending the rest of their lives navigating a world they can't fully read.
But the good news? We already know how to teach kids to read. The science is settled. The methodology exists.
Here's what works. What we've been doing at our microschool for over a decade. With the kids the system kept missing.
Phonics, explicit and daily. Real books in real hands, including the ones adults love to side-eye like Captain Underpants and Cat Kid. Reading aloud, every single day. Real conversation about what we read. Pencil to paper writing through 6th grade. A guide right next to every kid. Not an app pretending to be one.
This year, our average ELA growth was 1.24 grade levels. Twice the national rate. 73% of our students with learning differences are reading at or above grade level.
It works. Done the right way. With small groups, direct explicit instruction, and real human attention.
We have to do better. And we already know how.
If you have something to add β research, classroom wins, what's working for you β share it. This conversation matters too much to leave to people who aren't actually in it.

If your kid's school has them sitting at a desk for six hours a day, I need to tell you something.
That's not what learning looks like anymore.
Swipe to see what we do at Kind Academy. 90 minutes of academic work. The rest of the day is real life, real connection, real bodies in motion. And our outcomes? They are beating national averages by 2x and 3x for the most underserved kids.
The future of school is small. Personal. Human.
We've been building it for 11 years. Come see.
