I just want to thank everyone that has supported me the last few months. Everyone who took time to speak with me, share my posts, supported me, and getting out and voting it means more than you know. I am so excited to get started serving the great people of this community. Thanks again!

Just wanted to take a moment to say a BIG thank you to everyone who reached out to me telling me that they voted for me during early voting. No matter what the outcome is I’m so appreciative of each and every one that believed in what I can bring to holding a school board position and taking time to sit and talk with me about what is great about our school, new ideas, and bring to light things that need improvement.

With that being said there is only one more day to vote. Please remember you are advocating for your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, neighbors, each teacher and staff member. So Tomorrow go make your vote count!

Saturday May 4th at either the administration building or at your precinct 7AM-7PM. I would appreciate you, your family, and friends to vote for me Jacob Toon for one of the seats for school board.

Good morning everyone, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude about all the interactions I have had these last several weeks. I did my best to visit with so many all around Delta County. This included community members from Klondike, Pecan Gap, Charleston, Enloe, East Delta, Lake Creek, Ben Franklin & in town Cooper. I have learned so much from my talks with each visit. I talked to parents, grandparents, current teachers, local business owners and retired teachers about all the great things we have going for us for our school district.

I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time in your driveways, on your couches, on the back of your tailgate, at the ballfields, the supermarket or just in passing on the square to express your suggestions, input and concerns. I really enjoyed seeing firsthand how invested our communities are in making our district great for our kids.

No matter the outcome, I want you all to know how much your support and encouragement has meant to me. Lastly I want you to know how serious I take what I am asking of you, and that is your vote for a seat on the Cooper ISD school board.

I wanted to get on here tonight and speak about the last few weeks since youth baseball and softball has started and how great it’s been. I’m just so proud of all the things that DCBSO has been able to accomplish in recent years and how fortunate I’ve been to be a part of it. I’ve learned so much from all the great board members I’ve gotten to work with and know and I appreciate them all so much and everything that each member has brought to the table. It’s really motivated me that much more to want to bring my thoughts and ideas to help continue to grow and improve this community by potentially having the opportunity to be on the CISD school board.

Cooper ISD voters, I wanted to take a moment to let you all know that I have decided to run for a Cooper ISD School Board position. This is something that I’ve thought a great deal about and am very excited to potentially have the opportunity to support our teachers, school staff, students, and community.

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself for anyone that might not know me.

I was born and raised in Delta County, and this is where my wife and I wanted to make our home and raise our daughter. I have been with Ben E Keith Beverages for 18 years and am currently an Area Sales Manager. I am very involved within the community here through multiple youth sports organizations, school activities, at my church and I love every minute of it. I currently serve as a board member for Delta County Baseball/Softball Organization and have always tried to be involved with the youth in some aspect.

I respect the role that parents, teachers, school staff and administrators play in our children’s school experience. My mission if elected is to continue to help support communication between the school district and the community, build on student programs, keep in mind how decisions could affect our children and teachers, and bring fresh ideas and thoughts to the table and use the voice you all know I have.

I wanted to start this page to help my friends and family understand why now I have decided to run for a school board position. Also, I thought for individuals who live in this county and vote an opportunity to get to know me and why I want to be on the CISD school board. In the coming months I will post important information about voting dates and times, my ideas and goals that I have for CISD. I would really appreciate all the support I can get and your vote in May!
