Take a moment to watch this powerful video.

It serves as an important reminder of why awareness, compassion, and education matter so deeply in the work we do. Whether you are a caregiver, family member, student, or community supporter, your role makes a difference.

At I-TAP, we are committed to spreading knowledge, providing resources, and supporting those impacted by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Let’s continue to show patience, empathy, and support for individuals and families navigating these challenges.

At I-TAP, we know that caring for someone with Alzheimer's Disease or Related Dementias is both meaningful and incredibly demanding. Caregiver stress is common, and burnout can happen when your own needs are consistently placed last.

Signs of burnout may include:
1. Constant exhaustion
2. Anxiety or depression
3. Changes in sleep or appetite
4. Getting sick more often

Remember: Taking care of yourself is not selfish. Setting realistic expectations, practicing self-care, and seeking support are essential parts of being a sustainable caregiver.

You are not alone. I-TAP is here to support both individuals living with ADRD and caregivers.

Join us at our caregiver support group (meets every other Monday at 5:30 PM in the UCA Clinic Community Room) to connect, share, and receive encouragement from others who understand.

We see you. We appreciate you. And your well-being matters too.

We remember and honor the life of Marcia Louise Lambert (January 1956 - October 20, 2025), a devoted nurse, public servant, wife, and friend whose compassion touched countless lives.

Marcia grew up in North Little Rock and dedicated her life to caring for others, beginning her nursing career as an LPN in 1977. She served in hospitals and home health care in California for over two decades before returning to Arkansas to be closer to family. She continued serving her community through her work with the State of Arkansas until her retirement in 2022 after 19 years of service.

Marcia shared 47 loving years of marriage with her husband, John. Even as she faced Alzheimer's disease with courage, she and John found strength and support through the UCA S-TAP, the Resilient Care Giver Support programs, and as a cherished member of the I-TAP program community.

Marcia will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the many lives she uplifted through her work, friendships, and love for her family.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday, February 21 at 10:00 AM at the Brick Room on Front Street in Conway.

Please keep John and all who loved Marcia in your thoughts as we celebrate a life that gave so much to others.

A recent study suggests that by 2060, the number of Americans with dementia will double to a total of one million. But paradoxically, this number also tells a success story.

Thanks to decades of social and medical progress, more Americans than ever are living long enough to reach the point where they’re more likely to experience cognitive changes. But what else is behind the rise and can it be prevented?
