Started with a simple idea for my cousin’s graduation … and it turned into something way bigger.

I created 4 different bootleg-style graphics in Canva, and instead of picking just one, we used them all.

The colors are bold and vibrant, every important detail is there, and it really captures his moment in a unique way. That “can’t choose just one” moment ended up being the best decision.

I’m really excited about how these turned out… might have to make this a thing next graduation season 👀.

Custom grad graphics, but make it personal.

It’s been a minute, but I’m back. I’m at a pace where I can start back on my business. A lot of good things happened that I will share at a later time.

I’m starting off with a graduation t-shirt that I designed for my cousin, who graduates from high school next week. I’m excited about this, because it’s something I can add to my resume. I made my first bootleg design. (You all will see it in upcoming videos).

Now, the 50 shirts, I don’t know what that is about. We ain’t got 50 folks in our immediate family. But you know these young folks (😩🤣😂😅).

Anywho, I’m ecstatic about them. The prints look so good.

Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats, and lately that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. If you’ve noticed my posts have been a little sparse, it’s because I’ve been doing a lot of work off camera.

This season of business reminded me that being a small business owner means being the seamstress, content creator, blogger, salesperson, accountant, purchaser, and publisher… all at the same time. And that’s on top of being a newly married wife and a mom to a full-time college student living away from home.

I’ll be honest — I was starting to feel a little burned out, and life has definitely been life-ing. I even decided not to do the market this past weekend. I had prepared physically, but mentally I just wasn’t there, and sometimes the best thing you can do is take a step back and reset.

But don’t worry — another market is coming up next month and I’ll be back.

In the meantime, can we talk about how cute this bandanna is?! The little rabbits are giving all the Easter and springtime vibes. These Easter dog bandannas are on sale now in my Etsy shop, so grab one before they’re gone!

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day… did y’all wear green or it’s not that serious anymore? Anywho, I’m always looking forward to a reason to get festive.

The tshirt is made by me with a DTF from … it turned out so vibrant. I wanted to dress comfy for school today so I paired it with jeans and a cardigan. I couldn’t resist the clover earrings from .

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I have to add a zipper, a handle, a pocket… or all three to the things I make. My Bible cover was no exception — I added all three.

In this video I’m showing how I made and attached the handles.

First decide the type and size of handle you want: long, short, adjustable, etc. Then determine the width and multiply it by 4 for your fabric measurement.

I wanted short handles that finished at 1 inch wide, so I cut 4 pieces measuring 14 inches x 4 inches. On the long side, fold the strip in half and then fold the raw edges into the center. (Watch the video to see exactly what I mean.) I also added a strip of interfacing for extra stability.

This gives you a finished handle 14 inches long and 1 inch wide. Sew down both long sides using about a 1/8 inch seam allowance.

To attach the handles, measure the width of your cover, mark the center, then mark 2 inches on each side of the center. Clip the handles in place and repeat on the other side. Sew them on using a 1/4 inch seam allowance.

Finish assembling the cover, add your zipper and bias, and now you have a Bible cover you can carry with you.
